Greetings, Sorors, and Friends!
We welcome and thank you for visiting the virtual home of the Hickory Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. My name is Felicia Simmons and I consider it an honor to serve as the president of this hardworking, dedicated chapter of our beloved sisterhood. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization founded on January 13, 1913 by 22 college women on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. and is committed to public service with a primary focus on the Black community and to the constructive development of its more than 300,000 members. |
Hickory Alumnae Chapter is small but we are mighty! Chartered May 15, 1982 by thirteen dynamic women, the Hickory Alumnae Chapter has a continued commitment to positively impact the communities in which we reside and beyond. With less than 50 members, Hickory Alumnae Chapter provides service to Burke, Caldwell, Catawba and Iredell Counties. We are committed to our chapter slogan, “Impacting and Connecting Lives for the Greater Good in our Communities.” We strive to make a difference in everything we undertake.
